Clubs Deny Approaching Klopp Amid Agent Claims
According to recent reports, Klopp's agent, Marc Kosicke, stated that both Chelsea and Manchester United made enquiries about Klopp's availability. However, both Premier League clubs have since denied these suggestions, with sources indicating they "never considered" appointing the former Liverpool boss. This comes after Klopp had previously vowed never to manage another Premier League club following his departure from Anfield in 2024.
Chelsea and Manchester United both underwent managerial changes last month. Chelsea parted ways with Enzo Maresca, while Ruben Amorim left Old Trafford. The clubs quickly appointed replacements, with Liam Rosenior impressing at Stamford Bridge and interim head coach Michael Carrick galvanizing Manchester United.
Jordan's Reaction to the Controversy
Reacting to the news on talkSPORT, Jordan expressed skepticism about the agent's claims. He suggested that Kosicke might have misinterpreted loose conversations with club representatives. "He may have had some conversations with representatives from these football clubs. It may have been very loose, and he might have chosen to interpret it... we know how football agents work," Jordan said.
Jordan further demanded specifics, stating, "The next question for the agent, if he does pop his head above the parapet again, 'who did you speak to?'. 'Who specifically and explicitly?'. He'll then turn around and say he doesn't want to betray any confidences. Well, too late. That ship has sailed."
