Tottenham's Potential Starting XI After January Transfer Window
As the January transfer deadline approaches, Tottenham Hotspur are actively seeking reinforcements to revitalise their Premier League campaign. Despite securing a Round of 16 spot in European competition with a significant away victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, the club aims to translate that success into domestic form. Manager Thomas Frank, under pressure to retain his position, is expected to receive backing from the board with new signings before the window closes.
This speculative starting XI is based on current transfer rumours and excludes players sidelined with injuries lasting a month or longer. The lineup reflects potential acquisitions that could reshape the squad for the remainder of the season.
Goalkeeper and Defence
Guglielmo Vicario remains the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper. Even if Tottenham secure a new backup option this month, Vicario's position between the posts is secure due to his consistent performances.
At left-back, Andy Robertson emerges as a primary target. The experienced Liverpool defender could join on a favourable deal, bringing Premier League pedigree and tactical intelligence to the starting role.
