Police in Surrey are urgently appealing for witnesses after a devastating car crash claimed the lives of two teenagers and left a third fighting for his life.
Deadly Collision on Saturday Night
The serious incident occurred on Holland Road, near the junction with Popes Lane in Hurst Green, Oxted, shortly before 10pm on Saturday 20 December 2025. Emergency services were called to reports of a white Tesla that had collided with a tree.
One of the victims, all of whom were in their late teens, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second young man succumbed to his injuries after being taken to hospital. A third remains in a critical condition, fighting for his life. The families of all three have been informed by Surrey Police.
Driver Hospitalised and Arrested
The driver of the vehicle, a 30-year-old man from Oxted, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Officers are now conducting a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances leading to the fatal Tesla crash.
Appeal for Dashcam and Witness Information
Surrey Police have issued a public appeal for anyone with information to come forward. Detective Sergeant John Parker, leading the investigation, stated: "This is a tragic incident that has resulted in the loss of two young lives. We are determined to piece together exactly what happened."
The force is specifically asking for:
- Any witnesses to the collision itself.
- Motorists with dashcam footage who were in the Holland Road area between 9:30pm and 10:15pm on Saturday.
- Anyone with private CCTV, doorbell camera, or helmet cam footage that may have captured the vehicle prior to the crash.
