A 43-year-old woman remains in a critical condition following a serious road collision in Harrow, North London, which left four people injured. The incident occurred on Headstone Lane at approximately 1:30pm on Monday, January 26, when a vehicle collided with a tree.
Emergency Response and Casualties
Emergency services, including the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade, were swiftly dispatched to the scene. Paramedics provided immediate treatment to the 43-year-old woman, who was subsequently transported to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Three other individuals were also injured in the crash and taken to hospital for medical assessment. These include the driver, a 75-year-old woman, a 44-year-old person, and another 43-year-old. Their current conditions have not been disclosed by authorities, but the focus remains on the critically injured woman.
Police Investigation Underway
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection with the collision. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators as part of the ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Detective Sergeant Fiaz Janjua, from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, emphasised the importance of public assistance in the case. He stated: "Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this collision. Our investigation is ongoing and we continue to review relevant CCTV footage. We are appealing to the public for assistance and ask that anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police as soon as possible. Any information could be helpful."
