British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a public appeal to identify a man following a sexual assault at a major London Underground station during the evening rush hour.
Details of the Euston Station Attack
The incident occurred on the stairs at Euston Underground station at approximately 5.20pm on Saturday, 6 December. According to police reports, a man assaulted a woman as the two passed each other on the staircase.
Investigators have now released a closed-circuit television (CCTV) image of a man they urgently wish to identify and speak to in connection with the attack. A BTP statement said: "Officers would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information that would help their investigation."
Description of the Person of Interest
The footage shows a middle-aged white man, of medium build, with dark-coloured cropped hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing black trousers and a black jumper, which was covered by a black gilet or body warmer. He was also carrying a backpack with distinctive black straps.
