Police appeal after sexual assault on District line train

British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a public appeal for information following a serious sexual assault on a London Underground train.

Details of the District Line Assault

The incident occurred on a District line service travelling towards Cannon Street station at approximately 8pm on Monday, December 15. According to investigators, a man sat next to a female passenger and repeatedly sexually assaulted her.

The victim was forced to move seats twice in an attempt to escape her attacker. On both occasions, the man followed her before sitting beside her again and continuing the assault.
