EastEnders has confirmed an iconic celebrity cameo for its upcoming Pride episode, with drag queen La Voix set to perform. However, Mo Slater may ruin the surprise by hijacking the booking for the Queen Vic.
Pride Celebrations Spark Bar Rivalry
The BBC soap last celebrated Pride in 2019, earning praise for its balanced portrayal of LGBTQ+ joy and adversity. This year, the Albert—the square's gay bar—is the natural venue for festivities, but Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) has other plans. She hopes to host a Pride event at the Queen Vic to reunite her estranged twins, Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan) and Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness).
Zoe's twins have been torn apart after Josh revealed his affair with Jasmine's boyfriend, Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier), at their birthday party. Despite Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) discovering the fling and staying silent, Josh confessed everything, leading to a rift. Zoe believes a successful Pride event at the Vic could bring her children back together.
Zoe's Plan Backfires
Zoe lies to Josh, claiming the Vic is hosting Pride, but she hasn't arranged anything. When she starts organizing, she clashes with Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), who plans a competing event at the Albert with Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe). To outdo Zoe, Cindy books a headlining performer—La Voix—to draw customers away.
Worried her event will flop and fail to impress Josh and Jasmine, Zoe teams up with Mo Slater to sabotage Cindy's booking. They discover the performer is La Voix and attempt to trick her into performing at the Vic instead, hoping to steal the spotlight.
Will the Pride Event Unite or Divide?
According to EastEnders spoilers, the Pride episode will see Mo and Zoe's scheme unfold, potentially ruining the planned celebration. The outcome remains uncertain: will Zoe manage to unite her warring kids, or will the Pride event go up in flames? The episode promises drama, humor, and a nod to LGBTQ+ representation.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
