Kylie Jenner sued by private chef over alleged miscarriage from excessive work demands
Kylie Jenner sued by chef over miscarriage claims

A former private chef has filed a lawsuit against Kylie Jenner, alleging that the demanding nature of her job contributed to a miscarriage. The complaint was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday and names Jenner, 28, and business management firm Tri Star as defendants.

Allegations of Strenuous Work During Pregnancy

The chef, who has not been publicly identified, was hired in November 2024. The following month, she informed supervisors she was approximately three months pregnant and requested reasonable accommodations, according to the Los Angeles Times. Instead, the lawsuit claims she was required to continue physically demanding tasks.

At a New Year's Eve event, she was instructed to 'lift and transport heavy food items across the street and uphill without assistance.' She became dizzy, began choking and gasping for air, and required help from security staff, who provided water and assistance.

In early February 2025, while catering a birthday party for one of Jenner's children in Palm Springs, she allegedly 'broke down emotionally' due to 'exhaustion and overwhelming physical strain.' The complaint states she experienced 'extreme physical exhaustion and heaviness throughout her body' by day's end, and suffered hemorrhaging the following morning. She was hospitalized and allegedly told she had lost her unborn baby.

Legal Response and Previous Cases

Her lawyer, Della Shaker, told the Los Angeles Times: 'Celebrity status does not exempt anyone from California’s employment laws. We look forward to presenting the evidence in court and allowing the facts to speak for themselves.' Speaking to The Independent, Shaker added: 'Given that the laws apply equally to everyone, regardless of wealth, influence, or public profile, our client also deserves the same protections afforded to every employee in California.'

This is not the first legal challenge for Jenner this year. In April, two former housekeepers filed separate complaints. Angelica Hernandez Vasquez alleged a 'toxic and abusive environment' while working at Jenner's Los Angeles home between September 2024 and August 2025. Juana Delgado Soto accused Jenner of racial discrimination, harassment, unpaid wages, and failing to prevent discrimination and harassment.

Jenner has not publicly responded to the latest claims.
