Kellogg's has quietly introduced a new flavour of its iconic Crunchy Nut cereal, known as Crunchy Nut Crunchies Caramelised Biscuit, now available in supermarkets across the UK. The Biscoff-inspired cereal has been spotted on shelves at Iceland stores and The Food Warehouse, sparking curiosity among shoppers.
New Flavour Details
The new cereal features caramelised biscuit pieces, a departure from the classic sweet and nutty profile of original Crunchy Nut, which combines honey and roasted chopped peanuts. Some consumers have expressed skepticism, noting the product looks distinctly different from the original and suggesting it should be marketed as a separate cereal. However, others are eager to try it.
On Instagram, food blogger @johns_snack_reviews highlighted the launch, prompting reactions such as @another_snack_reviewer saying, 'Ohhh hell yeah. Please be good.' @annawilson1188 shared, 'Wow, can not wait,' while @mary_dorothea admitted the cereal was 'right up [her] street.' @cwhite93x commented, 'Hope we get these in Ireland.'
Previous Hot Honey Release
The launch follows Kellogg's release of a Hot Honey version of Crunchy Nut in January. A spokesperson for the brand explained that the Hot Honey flavour was inspired by the 'swicy' (sweet and spicy) trend popular online. 'This is cereal as you’ve never seen before. Think golden honey-coated curls with a whisper of chilli warmth. It’s sweet, it’s spicy, it’s everything your breakfast bowl didn’t know it needed,' the spokesperson said at the time.
The Hot Honey boxes were available for a limited time, and some are still listed for sale on the Iceland website at £3.50 per box. The duration of the Caramelised Biscuit cereal's availability is unknown and likely depends on its popularity.
