Traitors Fans Expose BBC's 'Accidental' Spoilers in Uncloaked Guest List
Traitors fans uncover BBC's accidental spoilers in Uncloaked

Devoted viewers of the hit BBC show The Traitors believe they have cracked a code that is accidentally spoiling the programme's biggest twists. A compelling new fan theory suggests that the companion show, The Traitors Uncloaked, is inadvertently revealing who will be murdered or banished next.

The 'Genius' Theory Explained

The theory, which gained traction online on January 10, 2026, centres on the guests booked to appear on Uncloaked. Fans noticed that the guests often have a thematic link to the events of the main episode that has just aired. One fan account, @supertv247, detailed the pattern on social media platform X, stating the connection was 'too obvious'.

They explained that by analysing the announced guest list, they could accurately predict outcomes. For example, after an episode where contestant Amanda was banished 'by chance', actor Mark Bonnar appeared on Uncloaked. He had exited Celebrity Traitors in an identical manner after an indecisive roundtable.

Specific Examples That Confirmed the Pattern

The fan provided further evidence, noting that the other guest on that same Uncloaked episode was Fozia Fazil, who was murdered face-to-face in series three. This mirrored the fate of contestant Maz, who was killed in the same way by Traitors Fiona, Rachel, and Stephen.

More recently, the theory correctly predicted Fiona's banishment. Fans spotted that the upcoming Uncloaked guests were two former Welsh players and a 'Welsh' Traitor from a past series, Charlotte Berman, who famously used a fake Welsh accent. The connection became undeniable when host Ed Gamble announced the contributors at the end of an episode.

'It dawned on me last night after THAT cliffhanger when Ed said who’s on next time I just thought awwwww… It’s Fiona,' the fan explained.

Viewer Reaction and BBC Response

Other viewers quickly agreed with the discovery, calling the links 'not subtle'. Many expressed frustration that the suspense was being undermined. One viewer, Matthew, suggested: 'They need to keep the identity of the Uncloaked guests a secret until broadcast.' Others admitted they wished they 'hadn’t read' about the theory.

The fan also pointed out that the guest list for the entire season of Uncloaked had been published in advance, and episode descriptions online listed the contributors, making the spoilers easy to find for anyone looking. Metro has contacted the BBC for comment on the fans' claims.

While the theory sometimes only reveals the method of an exit rather than the specific person, it has proven accurate enough to convince a large portion of the show's fanbase that the BBC's companion programme is, perhaps unintentionally, giving the game away.
