Battersea Park Comedy Festival Debuts This Summer with Major Headliners

A brand-new comedy festival is poised to transform Battersea Park into a hub of laughter and entertainment this summer, running from June 5th to 7th. The event will feature a stellar lineup of established and emerging comedians performing under a Big Top Tent, with reserved seated tickets available for all shows.

Star-Studded Lineup and Supporting Acts

Leading the inaugural Battersea Park Comedy Festival are comedy heavyweights such as Joe Lycett, Sara Pascoe, Simon Amstell, Lucy Beaumont, and Simon Brodkin. They will be joined by a curated selection of standout comics from the UK circuit and beyond, including Grace Campbell, Schalk Bezuidenhout, and Abi Clarke. Each show will showcase a headline act supported by a bill of comedians and hosted by a master of ceremonies, ensuring a diverse and hilarious range of stand-up performances throughout the weekend.

Open-Air Atmosphere and Festival Garden

Set in one of London's most iconic green spaces, the three-day festival combines top-tier comedy with a relaxed, open-air ambiance. Attendees can enjoy the laughs in the Big Top Tent and then unwind in the Festival Garden, where street food, craft beers, and cocktails will be available all weekend long, creating a vibrant social scene before, during, and after the performances.

Community Outreach and Accessibility Initiatives

Beyond the stage, the festival includes an educational outreach programme in select Wandsworth schools, using comedy workshops to help young people build confidence and develop public speaking skills. Additionally, a limited number of discounted tickets will be offered through Wandsworth Council's Access for All scheme, promoting equal access to local opportunities for eligible residents in sports, leisure, education, and events.

This event promises to deliver a unique blend of entertainment and community engagement, making it a must-attend for comedy fans and families alike.
