London's 2026 New Year's Day Parade Line-Up Revealed

London will kick off 2026 with its iconic New Year's Day Parade, a vibrant and free spectacle featuring a stellar line-up of performers including Heather Small of M People and Eurovision star Sam Ryder. The event promises to be a dazzling, family-friendly celebration, offering the perfect antidote to any New Year's Eve excess.

Parade Route and Key Timings for 2026

The procession will begin at 1pm on Thursday, 1 January 2026, starting an hour later than previous years to allow for a more leisurely start for all. The parade will commence near The Ritz Hotel and Green Park Station, winding its way along a classic two-mile route through the heart of the capital.

The journey will travel along Piccadilly, down Regent Street, through St James’s and Pall Mall, past Trafalgar Square, and finally down Whitehall, concluding near Westminster. The event is scheduled to finish at approximately 4.30pm. While the event is free to watch from the streets, ticketholders for grandstand seating can gain access from 11am.

A Stellar Line-Up of Music and Performance

This year's parade boasts an eclectic mix of talent designed to keep energy levels high. Headlining the musical entertainment will be the powerful voice of Heather Small, former lead singer of M People, and the soaring vocals of Sam Ryder, the UK's beloved Eurovision contender.

They will be joined by rising band The Entitled Sons and singer-songwriter Veronica Fusaro. Adding to the festive atmosphere will be popular tribute acts celebrating the music of George Michael, ABBA, Elton John, and the Spice Girls.

Community Spirit and London Traditions

The parade is a true community event, showcasing the diversity of the capital. Alongside the musical stars, spectators can expect performances from the London Pearly Kings and Queens Society, offering a nod to the city's historic traditions, and the infectious rhythms of the London School of Samba.

Further contributions will come from the English Jazz Orchestra, Miss Great Britain, Heroes for Charity, and the Glencoe Marching Band. A convoy of London's eco-friendly vehicles will also make an appearance, alongside displays from numerous London boroughs and high school bands, making it a genuine celebration of local talent.

With grandstands and large public screens at key locations like Piccadilly Circus, London's New Year's Day Parade remains a free, accessible, and joyous way for residents and visitors alike to welcome the new year with colour, music, and community spirit.
