Fans Defend Adam Thomas After I'm A Celeb Clash

I'm A Celebrity fans have rallied behind Adam Thomas after a tense confrontation with co-star Jimmy Bullard on the South Africa All Stars edition. The pair clashed fiercely during Tuesday night's episode when Jimmy, 47, abruptly decided to leave the camp by invoking the iconic phrase, nearly dragging the Waterloo Road star down with him.

The two were participating together in an insect-filled bushtucker trial, with Adam already covered in ants. Standing outside before joining, Jimmy declared he 'wasn't feeling it' and said: 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.' However, forfeiting his spot would also eliminate Adam, who stormed out to confront the former footballer.

Watched by shocked campmates, the Emmerdale actor shouted: 'Are you f***ing taking the p***?… I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants!' Jimmy replied: 'Woah, woah, woah – calm down, that’s pathetic!' as Adam stormed off, still furious, saying: 'I’ve done all that… for him to say I’m A Celeb.'

Jimmy doubled down on his decision, while Adam was heard swearing and later sobbing, explaining to Scarlett Moffatt that he wanted to continue for his children. After more heated exchanges, hosts Ant and Dec took pity on Adam, bending the rules so Jimmy was sent home and Adam could stay.

The row, reportedly still ongoing, follows a tough stint for Adam, who also faced grief from David Haye. While some fans agreed with Jimmy that Adam 'overreacted,' many more supported him.

'Honestly I’m watching this and Adams crashout is so valid. Jimmy is being such a prick, I mean he could’ve at least ATTEMPTED the trial. “Not feeling it” is not an excuse. And he’s being despicable to Adam – even laughing at him. Despicable,' wrote Reddit user Professional_Meal885.

'It seems like he wanted to just get Adam out, which seems shady. I like Jimmy as well, this is out of order,' JonCee500 shared. 'Seems malicious. He’s no genuine sympathy for what he’s taken from him,' IllustriousStudy133 added.

'Yeah, I would have been fuming if I was in Adam’s position. Why would you just accept that??' Adroable_Swan8977 wrote. 'I felt like that was one hundred percent planned that Jimmy would take Adam out. Absolutely disgusted in Jimmy,' fantastic_simple8977 accused.

The Mail reported that only part of the fight was aired, with sources claiming Jimmy was still 'seething' and scenes including Adam calling him a 'c***' were cut. An insider said: 'Adam just completely lost it and went for Jimmy. He called him a c*** and Jimmy believes that he tried to kick him, too.'

In response, ITV denied the kicking claims, with a spokesperson stating: 'This is categorically not true. Adam did not try to kick Jimmy.' On cutting elements, they added: 'We show an accurate and fair representation of events.' Metro has reached out to representatives for comment.

I'm A Celebrity returns tonight at 9pm on ITV.
