Teen charged with murder after fatal stabbing in Surrey

A 23-year-old man who was stabbed to death on the border between London and Surrey has been formally identified by police.

Tragic discovery near pub alleyway

Alfonso ‘Alfie’ Sibley, aged 23, was found with serious stab wounds in an alleyway close to The Wheatsheaf pub on Kingston Road. The discovery was made at approximately 3.30pm on Tuesday, December 9. Despite the efforts of emergency services who rushed to the scene, Mr Sibley was pronounced dead at the location. His grieving family has requested privacy as they come to terms with their loss.

Teenager charged and court appearances

Following the incident, a major police investigation was launched. As a result, a 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder. Due to his age, he cannot be named for legal reasons. The teenager first appeared at Guildford Magistrates' Court on Monday, December 15, where he was remanded into custody.

He is scheduled to appear at Guildford Crown Court tomorrow, Monday, December 22. The judicial process is now underway.

Further arrests and police appeal

In connection with the murder enquiry, police also arrested a second 15-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy, and a 20-year-old man. All three were arrested on suspicion of murder. They have since been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
