JoJo Siwa's ex-partner has launched a brutal attack on the pop star on the anniversary of the so-called 'cheating scandal' that erupted a year ago. Kath Ebbs, an Australian actor and content creator, took to Instagram Stories to share their feelings about the situation, which began when Siwa coupled up with Chris Hughes shortly after meeting him on Celebrity Big Brother.
The 22-year-old Dance Moms star and 32-year-old former Love Island contestant grew close during their time as housemates on the ITV reality series. Initially insisting their relationship was platonic, the pair confirmed they were dating soon after leaving the show. This development came after Ebbs announced they had been 'humiliated' after being dumped at the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party.
Kath Ebbs' Scathing Messages
Ebbs, 27, has since moved on and is now engaged to footballer Tilly Lucas-Rodd. However, they did not hold back on the anniversary. Sharing their original breakup reaction on Instagram Stories, Ebbs wrote: 'Happy one year anniversary to her x.' They followed up with a photo kissing Lucas-Rodd, captioning it: 'Sending hate to your cheating ex day.'
In a third post, Ebbs called out trolls: 'And to all those moles on the internet that trolled me for getting literally cheated on. Therapy bills getting mailed to you losers xx.'
Background of the Scandal
After flying from Australia to London for the wrap party, Ebbs was seen leaving alone and later revealed Siwa had ended the relationship. In a video, Ebbs said: 'I don't even know where to begin. I'm filming this in a complete state of shock... It seems to me I have experienced a version of love bombing. Being told I'm the love of someone's life, being asked to marry them before this social experiment.'
Ebbs claimed they had flown to the UK to 'show up and support' Siwa and address hurt feelings, but Siwa dumped them. Ebbs labeled the cuddling and bed-sharing between Siwa and Hughes as 'emotional cheating.'
JoJo Siwa's Response
Siwa disputed the claims, telling Us Weekly that Ebbs' accusations were made 'out of anger and frustration' and were 'not true.' She stated: 'I think that was very uncool of them... I can confidently say I love Christopher so very much, but he had absolutely nothing to do with my breakup.'
Last month, Siwa suggested she and Ebbs were on good terms, saying: 'They're in a thriving relationship by the looks of it, which makes me very happy. And I'm thriving in my life and very happy.'
One-Year Anniversary Celebration
Earlier this month, Siwa and Hughes celebrated their one-year anniversary with heartfelt social media posts. Siwa wrote: 'A year ago, today we said our first hello, our first hug, our first laugh... Serendipity.' Hughes added: 'One year ago today, I discovered your existence... It's flown by, feels like yesterday I got out the bb house.'
Metro has contacted representatives for JoJo Siwa for comment.
