Meghan Markle has hinted that the best years of her life are just around the corner in a cryptic social media post. The Duchess of Sussex, who has recently returned from a private tour of Australia with her husband, Prince Harry, took to Instagram to share some horoscope content with her 4.5 million followers.
The Astrology Post
Adding a reel to her story, originally posted by a page titled ‘Astrology is for Everyone,’ it claimed that the Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius signs have just emerged from the ‘hardest seven years of their lives.’ The video was accompanied by an explanation that stated that the signs have been dealt the ‘toughest years of their lives’ due to the movement of Uranus. However, now that the planet — also known as the ‘great awakener’ due to its influence, believed to trigger sudden, radical and unexpected changes — is moving into Gemini, it is reportedly ‘not looking back.’
Meghan's Star Sign
Fans will know that Meghan is a Leo — on August 4, she will celebrate her 45th birthday. She confirmed her star sign in the next slide, where she shared a more in-depth description of Leo in relation to the last seven years. Plus, how the transition is meant to ‘lift’ the pressure on these signs. It read: ‘The tension between who you actually are and what the world around you was willing to see has been exhausting in a way that is hard to explain to people who have not lived it. ‘Your confidence took hits it had no business taking. You questioned your creative direction, your spotlight, your worth. ‘April 25th, the pressure lifts. You get the space to just exist without fighting for it.’
Recent Turbulence
It’s no secret that the last six years in particular have been quite the personal and professional rollercoaster for the former Suits star. In January 2020, Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US with their son, Prince Archie, who was less than a year old at the time. They later welcomed their daughter in the States, Princess Lilibet, who was affectionately named after Harry’s grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth, in 2021. At the time of leaving the royal family, the couple cited a ‘really difficult environment’ as a key reason for their decision, alongside allegations of racism and lack of institutional support.
Oprah Interview and Aftermath
The Sussexes released a joint statement that read: ‘After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.’ Harry and Meghan revealed that they intended to ‘step back as “senior” members of the royal family and work to become financially independent, whilst continuing to fully support Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.’ It continued: ‘It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.’ Of course, this didn’t go to plan. Since then, Harry has been publicly estranged from his family, while Meghan has only visited the UK a handful of times. Then, in 2021, Harry and Meghan took part in the bombshell Oprah interview while pregnant with Lilibet. During the two-hour special, Meghan made a string of shocking revelations, including claims that royal family members had shared concerns about how dark her son Archie’s skin would be. She also alleged that they had gone to extreme lengths to try to deny him a royal title. The couple also discussed their treatment in the press, while Meghan opened up about her mental health, and a devastating miscarriage she suffered in July 2020. In November that year, she wrote in a New York Times essay that it caused her ‘unbearable grief.’
Harry's Revelations
Meanwhile, Harry recently revealed that he decided as a teenager that he didn’t want the royal life that he says ‘killed’ his mother, Princess Diana. While speaking at the $1,000-a-head InterEdge Summit in Melbourne Park, Australia, he said: ‘After my mum died just before my 13th birthday I was like “I don’t want this job. I don’t want this role. Wherever this is headed, I don’t like it.” ‘It killed my mum, and I was very much against it, and I stuck my head in the sand for years and years.’
Netflix and As Ever
Other life events that Meghan will likely want to move on from include Netflix recently cutting ties with her lifestyle brand, As Ever. It comes just months after the streamer signed a multi-year TV and film contract with the Duke and Duchess. A spokesperson from the brand told The Independent at the time: ‘As Ever is grateful for Netflix’s partnership through launch and our first year.’ However, the spokesperson also shared that the brand has ‘experienced meaningful and rapid growth,’ and is ‘now ready to stand on its own.’
Looking Ahead
Adding that As Ever expects an ‘exciting year ahead,’ perhaps the second quarter of 2026 will prove to be incredibly positive for the Duchess. Plus, with Meghan also reportedly telling Prince Harry that it’s ‘time to move on’ from their $21 million Montecito mansion, it looks like the mum-of-two is looking to the future. An insider recently told Heat World the Duchess of Sussex has decided that ‘being closer to Los Angeles will make life easier’ for her family.
