Man extradited from Dubai charged with Marble Arch murder

A man has been extradited from Dubai to the United Kingdom and charged with murder following the death of a woman in Marble Arch. Kamonnan 'Angela' Thiamphanit, 27, was discovered with multiple stab wounds at her residence in Stanhope Place, Marble Arch, on Monday, April 8, 2024. Police arrived at the scene at approximately 8:30 am and pronounced her dead shortly thereafter.

Extradition and Charges

Enzo Bettamio, 18, who has no fixed address, was extradited from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday, April 24, after a joint investigation by the Metropolitan Police and specialist lawyers from the Crown Prosecution Service's Extradition and International Units. He was formally charged with Angela's murder the following day and is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court today, Saturday, April 25.

Family Support and Investigation

Angela's family has been informed of the development and continues to receive support from specially trained officers. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, who leads the investigation, expressed gratitude to the family and friends for their patience and unwavering cooperation throughout what she described as an incredibly difficult and distressing period.
