Crystal Palace stab victim Kamahl Cameron-Williams named

Six people have been arrested in connection with the death of Kamahl Cameron-Williams, the 31-year-old man stabbed to death in Crystal Palace. Cameron-Williams died from knife injuries on Westow Hill shortly after 3:40 am on Sunday, June 21.

Arrests Made

According to a statement from the Metropolitan Police released on Tuesday, June 23, two men aged 21 and 23 remain in custody on suspicion of murder. Four other men, aged between 17 and 45, were detained on Sunday and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police Appeal

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee said: “Our thoughts remain with Kamahl’s family and friends as they come to terms with this tragic loss. There is no place for knife crime on our streets. Our detectives continue to work at pace and remain committed to apprehending those responsible for taking Kamahl away from his loved ones. We have already made significant arrests and are closing in on outstanding suspects. Anyone with information that may assist our investigation is urged to speak to us as a matter of urgency.”

Kamahl’s next-of-kin are being supported by specialist officers from the Metropolitan Police.

Crime Scene

Photos taken at the scene on Sunday afternoon showed a large cordon stretching down Westow Hill, blocking several local businesses. The tape has since been removed.
