A man in his 50s is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in a shocking Boxing Day car ambush in North West London. The Metropolitan Police have launched an urgent investigation following the violent incident in Edgware.

Details of the Boxing Day Attack

Emergency services were called to Station Road in Edgware at approximately 7:05pm on Friday, 26 December. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a stab wound to his arm.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the man, who is in his 50s, was attacked while sitting in a car with other passengers. It is believed an unidentified group ambushed the vehicle. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. No other passengers were physically injured.

Police Investigation and Scene

As of Saturday, 28 December, no arrests have been made and the suspects are still at large. A significant police cordon was established in the area overnight, focusing on the vicinity near the Sainsbury's car park at The Broadwalk Shopping Centre and the junction of Station Road and Church Way.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: "Officers attended the scene to discover a man in his 50s with a stab wound to his arm. He was taken to hospital in a stable condition. It is believed that a group of suspects attacked the car he was travelling in with others."

The investigation is ongoing, and detectives are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV footage from the Station Road area around the time of the attack, is urged to contact the police.
