Gunshots were heard in South London yesterday afternoon, prompting a swift police response. Officers rushed to Tulse Hill, Brixton, at approximately 5:40 PM on Tuesday, April 21, following reports of gunfire.
No arrests have been made, and no injuries were recorded. However, police recovered a firearm and two shell casings at the scene. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed that officers arrived quickly and secured the area.
Footage shared on TikTok shows the scene cordoned off with a heavy police presence. The spokesperson stated: “Police responded to reports of gunshots heard in Tulse Hill, Brixton, at 5.40pm on Tuesday, April 21. Although no arrests have been made at this stage, officers arrived on scene quickly and recovered a firearm and two shell casings.”
Numerous witnesses have been interviewed, and investigations are ongoing to gather CCTV footage. A crime scene remains in place for forensic examinations. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Met via 101, quoting reference 6070/21APR.
