Trump Orders Release of Government Files on Alien and Extraterrestrial Life
Trump Orders Release of Alien Files After Obama Remarks

President Donald Trump has announced a directive for the Pentagon and other U.S. government agencies to release classified files concerning alien and extraterrestrial life. This decision follows closely on the heels of former President Barack Obama's public remarks about the existence of aliens, which Trump criticized as a breach of classified information protocols.

Trump's Directive on Extraterrestrial Disclosure

In a post on his Truth Social platform, President Trump stated that he will instruct the Secretary of War and relevant departments to begin identifying and declassifying government documents related to alien life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs). He described the matter as "extremely interesting and important," citing "tremendous interest" from the public as the impetus for this move.

Obama's Controversial Comments

The announcement came just hours after Trump accused Barack Obama of revealing classified information during a podcast interview. On Brian Tyler Cohen's podcast, Obama asserted, "They're real, but I haven't seen them, and they're not being kept in Area 51." He later clarified on Instagram that he meant the probability of extraterrestrial life is high, but he had seen no evidence during his presidency.

When questioned about Obama's statements, Trump responded, "He's not supposed to be doing that. He made a big mistake." Trump himself remained noncommittal on the issue, stating, "I don't know if they're real or not. I don't have an opinion on it."

White House Response and Speculation

Earlier in the week, Lara Trump, the president's daughter-in-law, hinted on a podcast that Trump had a pre-written speech on aliens ready for delivery at the "right time." However, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed this notion, laughing off any suggestion of such a planned address and remarking, "A speech on aliens would be news to me."

This development adds a new layer to the ongoing public and governmental discourse on extraterrestrial life, with Trump's directive potentially leading to unprecedented transparency on a topic long shrouded in secrecy and speculation.
