Two men remain in police custody following a double stabbing that occurred in a Barnet park during the early hours of Tuesday, April 21. The incident took place at Moat Mount Open Space, adjacent to the A1 in Mill Hill, at approximately 1:20 am.
Victims and Injuries
The victims, aged 42 and 39, were knifed in the park. Paramedics treated them at the scene before rushing them to hospital as a priority. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. A third man, also aged 42, sustained a minor burn injury but did not require further medical attention.
Arrests Made
Officers have arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and a 47-year-old man on suspicion of affray. Both remain in custody pending further enquiries as of this morning.
Police Investigation
The Metropolitan Police are urging anyone with information that may assist the investigation to come forward. A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service stated: "We were called at 1:25 am on 21 April to reports of an incident on Barnet Way. We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, and a clinical team manager. Our first paramedic arrived on scene in five minutes. We treated two patients and took them to hospital as a priority."
