Fulham Pier Hotel Review: A Glossy Boutique Stay Overlooking Craven Cottage
Fulham Pier Hotel Review: Glossy Boutique Near Craven Cottage

Fulham Pier Hotel, a glossy boutique hotel with 13 rooms, has opened as part of the major redevelopment of Craven Cottage, the historic home of Fulham FC. Backed by the club's billionaire owner Shahid Khan, the hotel offers an exclusive experience with no visible football memorabilia, a discreet gold-door entrance, and private access to the adjacent members-only Lighthouse Club.

Rooms and Design

Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Thames, flooding the space with natural light. The Junior Suite includes a wide private balcony spanning the full length of the room, offering views of rowers, runners, and dog-walkers along the Thames Path. The opposite side of the pier is a designated conservation area, ensuring unobstructed sunset views remain permanent.

The interior is a cream and blonde canvas with homely furnishings, divided by a gold grill-like feature that may limit TV viewing from the bed. The complimentary minibar (when booking direct) includes Candy Kittens, popcorn, champagne, and cocktail mixes. Bathrooms are finished in marble with a walk-in rainfall shower, generous bathtub, and Diptyque toiletries.

Dining and Facilities

The hotel lacks its own bar or restaurant but guests have exclusive access to the Lighthouse Club for breakfast, offering eggs royal with caviar, shakshuka, and rotating smoothies. For dinner, Brasserie Constance by Michelin-star chef Adam Byatt provides an elegant dining experience, while the Market Food Hall offers casual options like pizza, tacos, burgers, curry, and falafel wraps.

Current facilities are limited, but a heated rooftop pool and spa are under construction, expected to open in summer. The adjacent Fulham Pier venue hosts year-round events including jazz, comedy, fitness classes, roller disco, and wine clubs.

Location and Accessibility

The hotel is located on Stevenage Road, London SW6 6HH, with Putney Bridge Underground Station (District Line) as the closest transport link. The surrounding area is largely residential, with riverside pubs in Hammersmith to the west and Bishop's Park and Putney to the east. Major attractions like Harrods, Royal Albert Hall, Natural History Museum, and V&A South Kensington are 15 minutes away. In April, guests have prime views of the annual Boat Race.

Prices start from £333 per night. According to Time Out's Amy Houghton, the hotel feels incredibly exclusive due to its limited rooms and private access.
