The Monster, one of the largest inflatable obstacle courses globally, is set to arrive at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent on Saturday, July 18. Stretching over 1,000 feet and featuring 42 obstacles, including an 18-metre-tall mega slide, the attraction has toured the UK since its 2017 debut, previously setting up in London, Essex, and Birmingham.
Event Details and Location
The event will be held in The Village car park, the same site as Bluewater's annual Winterland event. The arena will also feature giant Jenga and Connect 4, a chalk graffiti board, Monster Ping-Pong, and various food and drink vendors. Open daily from 10am to 9pm, the venue offers multiple sessions to suit different visitors.
From 10am to 11am, 'Quiet Sessions' provide a lower-noise environment with a cap of 100 guests, no music or announcements, ideal for those preferring a relaxed atmosphere. Following that, 'All Ages Sessions' feature party music, lighting effects, and video clips on a giant screen. Guests have 60 minutes to complete as many laps of The Monster as they wish.
Obstacles and Experience
Billed as 'the craziest bouncy castle in the world,' The Monster includes 40 individual obstacles, described as not for the faint-hearted. A TikTok user @Dee shared on social media that she has been on the course twice and 'struggled each time,' while another customer called it a 'serious workout.'
From Thursday to Sunday, starting at 7pm, the arena transforms into an 'Adults Only' event with DJs, interactive karaoke, a full bar, and late-night food vendors. Selected Saturday sessions will feature a 'high-energy foam party,' according to The Monster's promoters.
Ticket Pricing and Availability
The Monster will be at Bluewater for six weeks. General admission tickets are £18 each, or £15 each for group bookings of more than six people. Bluewater's PLUS+ rewards programme members receive a reduced price of £15 per person. Spectator tickets, offering unlimited time in the entertainment space but no access to the inflatable course, are £3 each.
Children must be aged five years and at least one metre tall to participate; children under four can spectate for free. Food vendors will offer loaded fries, chicken strips, burgers, soft drinks, frozen slushies, craft beers, and cocktails. Tickets are available on the Bluewater website.
