Coronation Street residents are finally seeing the true side of Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) as her sweet facade crumbles. Beneath the angelic veneer lies a cruel, snarling monster who revels in trapping her prey. However, this time her target, Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn), is equally deadly and won't go down without a fight.
After Megan's sickening admission last week, next week sees Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley), Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) cornering Megan at the salon flat to force a confession. Megan, unphased by their show of force, toys with them, refusing to admit anything. The confrontation turns physical, and Megan ends up with a bloody nose before being thrown out into the alley.
But Megan lands just as Maggie and Melanie (Cindy Humphrey) are having a private conversation. Eavesdropping, Megan records their explosive discussion about the death of Maggie's husband. Armed with this evidence, Megan confronts Maggie, smiling victoriously. Maggie tries to dismiss Melanie as 'unbalanced,' but Megan plays the recording, leaving Maggie trapped.
Despite Maggie's warning that Megan is 'playing with fire,' Megan demands that Maggie throw Ben off the scent. Maggie pleads for time, but Megan saunters away. However, Maggie has no intention of letting anyone learn her secret. She tracks Megan down, intent on ending the threat once and for all. The two fierce women clash, and it becomes clear that one of them will be hurt.
