Tottenham's Manor Solomon Secures Serie A Loan to Fiorentina
Manor Solomon joins Fiorentina on loan from Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have finalised a deal to send winger Manor Solomon on loan to Italian club Fiorentina for the remainder of the season, marking a fresh chapter for the peripheral figure.

Loan Deal Agreed for Serie A Switch

The agreement, confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on New Year's Eve, will see the 26-year-old Israeli international move to Florence. His current loan at Spanish side Villarreal has been terminated to facilitate the switch. Solomon has never played in Italy's top flight before, making this a new challenge in his career.

Solomon joined Spurs on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023 but his time in North London has been severely disrupted. He managed just six appearances before a serious meniscus injury in September 2023 ended his campaign. His most notable contribution was a brace of assists in a 5-2 Premier League win over Burnley.

A Season of Loan Moves

After recovering, Solomon spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Leeds United, where he impressed with 10 goals and 12 assists in the Championship. He moved to Villarreal for the first half of this season but struggled for consistent game time in La Liga, registering one goal and four assists in 11 outings.

This move to Fiorentina represents his second loan of the current campaign and a chance to reignite his form in a competitive league.

Spurs' Wider Attacking Reshuffle

Solomon's departure coincides with significant activity in Tottenham's attacking ranks. Brennan Johnson is undergoing a medical at Crystal Palace ahead of a potential £35 million transfer, further depleting wide options.

Manager Thomas Frank acknowledged the need for reinforcements after a recent 0-0 draw with Brentford. While hopeful for returns from injured players like Lucas Bergvall and Xavi Simons, Frank stated the club is "in the market" to improve the squad, highlighting the flanks as a particular area of concern despite the summer signing of Mohammed Kudus.

The loan exit of Manor Solomon, a player who has not featured for Tottenham in over two years, is a logical step for all parties as Spurs look to streamline and strengthen their options in the January window.
