Wrestler's Beet Juice Vomit Sparks Referee Panic in Ring Mishap

Former WWE star Elayna Black, known as Cora Jade during her tenure, has disclosed a startling and embarrassing moment from her wrestling career that left a referee genuinely believing she was on the verge of death. The incident, which occurred during a TNA match, involved a puddle of beet juice vomit that eerily resembled blood, creating a chaotic scene in the ring.

The Unfortunate Pre-Match Decision

In an exclusive interview with Metro ahead of tonight's Sacrifice event, the 25-year-old wrestler recounted the events leading up to the mishap. Elayna explained that she delayed her usual pre-match ritual of drinking beet juice until just five minutes before her entrance. Already grappling with nerves, she hastily consumed the entire drink, which quickly led to severe nausea as the match announcements were concluding.

"The match starts, I just felt so sick the whole time, holding it down. I remember it was a double-down with me and Masha," Elayna shared. "I was like, 'Oh no, I have to throw up'. I tried to make it to the edge of the ring, but I didn't, I threw up in the ring!"

A Puddle of 'Blood' Causes Alarm

The vomit, composed solely of beet juice, created a vivid red puddle that was mistaken for blood by everyone in attendance. "But because it was straight beet juice, it just looked like a puddle of blood… It was my throw-up! Everyone thought she hit me and I was bleeding. The ref thought I was dying!" Elayna exclaimed. By the time fans realized what had happened, the ring appeared to contain a mysterious and alarming pool of blood.

Despite her involvement in hardcore wrestling, Elayna admitted to having a personal aversion to the sight of blood, recounting a past deathmatch in her late teens where she was disturbed by clotting blood from her elbow. "God, I just remember being very sick to my stomach afterwards," she said.

Overcoming Personal Challenges and Career Setbacks

Tonight, Elayna faces Mane Sade in a No Disqualification match, a scenario that could test her sensitivities further. "I'm worse [now], if anything. I don't know what's happened to me as I've gotten older, but I get so queasy," she laughed. "Blood in wrestling doesn't bother me, but when it's on me and I'm looking at it, that bothers me."

This match represents a significant opportunity for Elayna to prove herself after her release from WWE in May 2025, which initially led to a mental health downturn. "'Damn, I'm so young still, and my dreams are over,'" she recalled thinking. "'What the f**k am I gonna do for the rest of my life?!'" Following advice from CM Punk, she took a step back from wrestling, using the time to reassess her passion. "I wanted to miss it, because I told myself, if I didn't miss it, then I didn't want to do it anymore, period," she stated, now embracing a second chance in her career.

Building a New Path in TNA

Elayna is focused on building both herself and TNA, not viewing it as a step back from WWE. She continues to seek honest feedback from CM Punk, sending him her matches and promos, which she describes as a "surreal" experience given her lifelong fandom. Additionally, she connects with fans through platforms like OnlyFans, advocating for women's autonomy over their bodies. "If I'm able to make an OnlyFans and post pictures and get paid to do so, why would I not do that?" she questioned, noting the financial benefits.

Looking ahead, Elayna has dream matches in mind, including bouts with AEW's Mercedes Mone and WWE legend AJ Lee. For tonight's event, she aims to contribute to TNA's legacy of intense matches. "Hopefully someone will say one day that this was their favourite hardcore match in TNA," she said. "It's pressure, but good pressure. And I think we're gonna tear the house down."

Reflections on Fan Interactions and Privacy

As a lifelong wrestling enthusiast, Elayna understands the desire to meet idols but emphasizes the importance of boundaries, particularly in private settings like hotels. "There have been a lot of times people have been weird, and you feel uncomfortable and you don't feel safe… It's just not okay, and it's very much an invasion of privacy," she asserted, drawing from her own experiences as a fan.
