Wembley relaxes water bottle policy for Harry Styles gig

Wembley Stadium has relaxed its water bottle policy for Harry Styles concerts as temperatures are forecast to reach 35°C during the fifth night of the Together, Together residency. The stadium now permits empty 500ml metal or hard plastic bottles to be brought inside, a change from the previous rule allowing only clear plastic bottles without lids.

Policy change amid health concerns

Fans had hoped for a reconsideration of strict liquid rules due to the extreme heat. Wembley confirmed the new policy, allowing bottles to be filled at water stations located inside and on the concourse. Previously, standing area attendees were required to decant water into cups.

Additionally, bottled water will be sold at bars for half price, a decision some fans criticized. One X user commented: "Don't they know how insane that is? Water is a basic thing to keep you alive, especially in a pit of thousands of people!" Another added: "Water should be free and water bottles should always be allowed to be brought in not just this week."

Free sun cream and safety advice

Wembley is urging attendees to take regular breaks in shaded areas and wear sun cream. Free sun cream will be distributed at the stadium's information points. Fans are advised not to arrive too early to avoid waiting outside in the sun, as queues for barricade positions have previously formed overnight.

Additional safety advice includes wearing breathable clothing, limiting alcohol consumption, and traveling light to prevent exhaustion and fainting.

Harry Styles' residency and past incidents

The Together, Together tour marks the release of Harry Styles' latest album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. Wembley is the second stop after a successful run at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam. His 12-night residency is the longest single-artist run in the stadium's history, surpassing Coldplay and Taylor Swift.

During an earlier show, Harry paused his performance of Taste Back to assist a fan in distress, communicating with security staff who rushed to help.
