A devastating two-vehicle collision in the early hours of Sunday morning has left four people dead and five others injured in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Details of the fatal collision
According to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), the incident occurred at approximately 12:45am on Sunday, 11 January 2026 on Wigan Road. The force confirmed that a red Seat Leon collided with a Citroen C4 Picasso.
Tragically, the driver of the Seat and two of its passengers, along with the driver of the Citroen, were all declared dead at the scene. Five further passengers sustained injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment. The condition of the injured is not currently known.
