The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that a 22-year-old man, riding a moped, was killed in a crash on Wood Street at its junction with Horse Fair in Kingston. The collision occurred late on Saturday night, at precisely 11.37pm, when the moped collided with a dark-coloured car.

According to police reports, the driver of the car allegedly failed to stop at the scene, driving off immediately after the impact. This has prompted a full-scale investigation by detectives, who are urgently trying to locate the motorist involved. No arrests have been made at this stage, as the search continues.
