Man bites passenger's finger, threatens to kill on train

British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a CCTV appeal to identify a man who bit another passenger's finger and threatened to kill people on a London train. The incident occurred on a Cannon Street to Orpington service at approximately 9:20pm on May 21.

Attack Details

The man became verbally abusive and threatened to kill those onboard. When passengers attempted to intervene and restrain him, he bit one victim's finger, causing a deep injury that resulted in nerve and ligament damage. He also tried to assault other passengers before fleeing the train at New Cross station.

Investigation and Appeal

More than a month later, the suspect remains untraced. BTP released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have information to aid the investigation. The image shows a White man with a short dark beard and moustache, wearing a blue and grey puffer jacket, ripped grey jeans, and a distinctive grey hat with two eyes on the front.
