Farringdon station has been shut this morning (April 30) due to an incident involving the emergency services, causing Tube and train services to skip the stop in both directions. The busy Zone 1 interchange closed its doors at around 9.50am, according to National Rail.

The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed by Transport for London or the British Transport Police. However, witnesses report multiple police cars, ambulances, and fire engines outside the station.
