A major incident involving a casualty on the tracks has forced the closure of Finsbury Park Tube station and caused severe disruption across the Victoria line this morning.
Emergency Response at Finsbury Park
The station was evacuated at around 10:45am on Saturday, December 27, 2025, as emergency services, including the British Transport Police and London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. Passengers were ushered out of the North London station while crews dealt with the situation.
Major Travel Disruption on Victoria Line
As a direct result of the incident, Victoria line services have been suspended between King's Cross St Pancras and Seven Sisters. There are severe delays on the rest of the line. Transport for London (TfL) has confirmed that tickets are being accepted on London Buses at no extra cost for affected passengers.
Impact on Arsenal Football Fans
The disruption is likely to affect football fans travelling to the Emirates Stadium for the 3pm Premier League kick-off between Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion. Supporters are being strongly advised to allow significant extra time for their journeys and to check the latest TfL travel updates before setting off.
MyLondon has contacted the British Transport Police, London Ambulance Service, and TfL for further information and will provide updates as they become available.
