New UK Flights to La Palma: Jet2 Launches Services

Jet2 and Jet2holidays have launched new direct flights and holidays to La Palma, a lesser-known Canary Island, from Manchester and London Stansted airports. The first flight departed on April 3, 2026, from Manchester, with a second weekly service from Stansted starting November 6, 2026.

Why La Palma?

La Palma offers a quieter, nature-focused alternative to busier islands like Tenerife. Known for its forested terrain, cobbled streets, and turquoise waters, it appeals to travelers seeking adventure and relaxation. Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said: “We are delighted to see our first flight to La Palma take-off, signalling the start of our Summer 2026 flying programme.”

Activities and Attractions

Visitors can hike the Ruta de los Volcanes, explore Caldera de Taburiente National Park, or visit the ancient laurel forest Cubo de la Galga. Water enthusiasts enjoy natural pools like Charco Azul and beaches such as Puerto Naos and Los Cancajos. Kayaking, dolphin watching, and stargazing tours are also popular.
