The Thailand Showcase 2026, a free festival organised by the Thai Embassy, will transform Potters Fields Park in Southwark into a vibrant celebration of Thai culture and cuisine from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, July 19. The event, which has become a staple of London's summer calendar, promises to immerse visitors in the sights, sounds, and tastes of Bangkok.
Festival Details and Highlights
The festival runs from 1pm to 8pm on Friday, July 17; 10am to 8pm on Saturday, July 18; and 10am to 6pm on Sunday, July 19. Admission is free, and the event features more than 50 vendors, exhibitors, and sponsors. Attendees can enjoy authentic Thai street food, artisan crafts, traditional music and dance performances, and wellness workshops.
Culinary Delights and Thai SELECT Certification
Food lovers can indulge in dishes from certified Thai SELECT restaurants, including Patara, The Great Thai, Slurp Thai, Siam Niyom, Monkey and Me, Kin+Deum, and Thai Square. The Thai SELECT award is an elite certification reserved for restaurants that champion authentic Thai flavours and high-quality ingredients. Highlights include tom yum noodles, prawn summer rolls, Thai curries, desserts, and ice creams. Thai milk tea from ChaTraMue, Chang Beer, Singha Beer, and wines from Monsoon Valley will also be available.
Cultural Activities and Workshops
Visitors can participate in Thai Chi, massage, and wellness workshops, as well as Muay Thai introductions. Dazzling theatrical performances will showcase traditional Thai music and dance, live cooking demonstrations, and fashion shows highlighting Thai embroidery and modern Bangkok design. Chef Chariya Khattiyot, winner of MasterChef UK 2023, will share her perspective on Thai cooking, alongside live cooking from Supawan Thai (a Michelin restaurant) and Sebby Holmes of Farang London.
