Betsy Swain is rushed to hospital after collapsing in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, and her mum Lisa Connor-Swain immediately blames boyfriend Dylan Wilson. Lisa's fury leads her to the police station, where she tells the desk sergeant she wants to report a crime.
What happens to Betsy?
Betsy is all loved up with Dylan, something her mum isn't thrilled about. After a disastrous attempt at cooking breakfast, Dylan teaches Betsy how to make bolognaise and assures her they'll make long distance work when she moves to London. But soon after, an ambulance pulls away from No.6 with its siren blaring. At the hospital, Ryan Connor explains to Carla that he found Betsy unconscious on the kitchen floor. A nurse tells a tearful Lisa that they are taking Betsy for an MRI scan.
Lisa lashes out at Dylan
Dylan arrives at the hospital to see Betsy, but runs out of the room warning Lisa and Carla that she seems to be having a fit. Lisa and Carla watch in horror as doctors tend to Betsy. Later, Dylan shows Brody and Lauren the things he bought to make Betsy's stay more comfortable. But when he returns with the bag, a raging Lisa confronts him, blaming him for Betsy's condition. An upset Betsy begs Lisa not to blame Dylan.
Sean suggests visiting Betsy together, but Dylan shuts him down, leaving Sean suspicious. In the cafe, Lisa turns on Dylan and rages at him for Betsy's collapse. Things escalate when Lisa goes to the station and tells the desk sergeant she'd like to report a crime, potentially landing Dylan behind bars.
