Brooklyn Beckham celebrated his father-in-law Nelson Peltz's 84th birthday in Florida, wearing matching cowboy hats with the family, as tensions with his own parents continue. The 27-year-old aspiring chef attended the bash with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, 31, on Wednesday, just days after he reportedly asked his parents David and Victoria Beckham to 'leave him alone' following their Father's Day social media posts featuring him.
Birthday Celebration Details
Nicola Peltz Beckham shared a carousel of photos on Instagram showing the Peltz family enjoying a meal together in coordinated straw hats. One image captured Nelson with Nicola and Brooklyn crouching next to him in sunglasses, while another group photo included the businessman with five of his sons and the married couple. In the caption, Nicola wrote: 'Happy birthday Dad! I love celebrating you! I feel truly blessed to have grown up watching you be such an incredible role model in every way possible.' She described him as 'the best father I could ever dream of,' adding: 'You love us all unconditionally, encourage us that our dreams are never too big to chase and to always always be a good human before all else.'
Father's Day Fallout
The celebration comes after Brooklyn did not publicly acknowledge his parents' Father's Day tributes on Instagram. David Beckham shared a vintage photo including his estranged son, writing: 'Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy for giving me our beautiful family.' However, an insider told The Sun that Brooklyn was 'fuming' and asked his parents 'to leave him alone' even as they continue to post about him. 'It just brings the whole thing up all over again. He wishes they’d leave it and leave him alone,' the source said. Brooklyn is understood to have seen the posts through media reports and via people close to him, as he has reportedly blocked his family on Instagram.
Ongoing Family Rift
Unlike his siblings, Brooklyn did not send any Father's Day wishes to his father. Earlier this year, he made an explosive statement saying he has no plans to mend fences with his parents amid a deep rift. The tension has been public for months, with reports of disputes over wedding planning and other family matters. Brooklyn and Nicola have increasingly aligned with the Peltz family, with Nicola's father Nelson being a billionaire investor.
