Renewed search for vulnerable missing man Thomas Ogunmuyiwa after 10 years
Renewed search for missing man Thomas Ogunmuyiwa after 10 years

The Metropolitan Police has issued a renewed appeal to locate Thomas Ogunmuyiwa, a 55-year-old man who has been missing for a decade. He was last seen at his supported accommodation in Camden on July 2, 2016.

Possible sightings and alias

Thomas was reportedly spotted at a Salvation Army kitchen in Liverpool between late 2018 and early 2019. Police believe he may be using the alias 'Jackson'. He has links to Liverpool and is described as Black, with grey hair, a beard, and brown eyes.

Concerns for welfare

Officers are concerned for Thomas's welfare due to his complex medical needs and consider him vulnerable. Acting Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Thomson said: “Officers from Central North Local Missing Hub would like to hear from anyone who knew Thomas or saw him in the period leading up to his disappearance, or has information about his movements, associates or circumstances around that time. Ten years is a significant milestone, but the passage of time does not diminish our determination to establish what happened.”

Thomson added: “We know that people move on and circumstances change and evolve. Information which may have seemed insignificant ten years ago could now be the key to progressing our investigation. Anyone who may have seen Thomas, or may know of his whereabouts, is asked to contact Metropolitan Police on 101, quoting reference 01/1076838/24.”

Ndella Senghore, Missing People’s Publicity Officer, said: “If anyone has any information about Thomas’ disappearance, they can also contact Missing People’s Helpline.
