Metropolitan Police Announces £20,000 Reward in Unsolved 2022 Queen's Park Murder
The Metropolitan Police has issued a substantial £20,000 reward for information that leads to the prosecution of those responsible for the fatal shooting of a West London man nearly four years ago. The case remains unsolved despite multiple arrests, with no charges ever being filed.
Details of the Fatal Shooting
Daneche Tison, a 26-year-old man also known by the nickname 'Woo', was gunned down in what detectives describe as a brutal murder on Bruckner Street in the Queen's Park area. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at approximately 2:00 AM.
Emergency services responded to the scene, but the shooter had already fled before their arrival. Tison was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Investigation Challenges and Renewed Appeal
Although several men were arrested in connection with the shooting during the initial investigation phase, authorities have been unable to gather sufficient evidence to bring formal charges against any suspect. The case has remained open and active within the Specialist Crime South unit.
The renewed appeal for information coincides with the approaching fourth anniversary of Tison's death. The Metropolitan Police hopes that the substantial financial incentive might encourage individuals with relevant information to come forward.
Crimewatch Feature and Official Statement
The case will be featured on tonight's episode of Crimewatch Live, airing on BBC television. Detective Sergeant Andy Sheppard, representing the investigating team, provided an official statement regarding the ongoing investigation.
"Our thoughts today remain with the victim's family and loved ones, who have had to live with the knowledge that Mr. Tison's killer is still at large," stated Detective Sergeant Sheppard. "Owing to the length of time which has elapsed, the Met has decided to offer a substantial financial reward for any information leading to the prosecution of the shooter - or anyone directly involved in the murder."
He further emphasized that "this decision demonstrates the Met's commitment to solving every murder, and securing justice for all victims - no matter how long it takes."
