Mother's Anguish Persists Two Years After Brutal Croydon Murder

The mother of a young man stabbed to death in Croydon has declared that the pain has not diminished as she joins police in appealing for information two years after the horrific incident. Rijkaard Siafa, a 22-year-old described as deeply loved, lost his life on April 12, 2024, in Fellmongers Yard after being stabbed at least thirteen times.

Two Convicted, One Suspect Still Sought

David Walcott and Rammon Mali, both from Croydon, were each sentenced to 27 years in prison in April 2025 for their roles in the murder. Shockingly, they brazenly ordered pints at a nearby pub shortly after the attack. However, a third alleged attacker, Jordan Vincent, believed to be from South London, remains at large.

The Metropolitan Police issued an urgent update on April 10, 2026, renewing their appeal for information regarding Vincent's whereabouts. Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend, leading the investigation, emphasized that while two dangerous individuals are behind bars, the pursuit of justice continues.

Family's Determined Quest for Justice

Hassanatu Bah, Rijkaard's mother, expressed the family's ongoing grief and determination in a statement released via the Met. "Rijkaard was deeply loved and is missed every day," she said. "Even after two years, the pain has not changed. We are grateful for the police support throughout. We are asking anyone with information to please come forward."

She added, "No family should have to go through this. We just want answers and justice for Rijkaard." The family's appeal underscores the lasting impact of violent crime on loved ones.

Police Renew Public Appeal

Detective Chief Inspector Townsend stated, "Two years on from this horrific murder, our thoughts remain with Rijkaard’s family and friends. Rijkaard lost his life at a young age due to the actions of David Walcott and Rammon Mali, two dangerous and unpredictable individuals who have now been put behind bars."

She continued, "We are renewing our appeal to the public for their help in finding the outstanding suspect, Vincent, wanted for Rijkaard’s murder. Any information could help us trace his whereabouts. My team will continue to work tirelessly to bring all those responsible to justice."
