Queensberry Promotions Sees Profits Surge to £11.2m After Blockbuster Fights
Queensberry profits soar to £11.2m after big fights

Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions has reported a significant boost in its annual profits, exceeding £11 million, following a blockbuster year headlined by a mammoth heavyweight clash at Wembley Stadium.

Financial Knockout for Boxing Promoter

Newly filed accounts reveal that Queensberry Promotions Limited turned a profit of £11.2 million for the year ending 31 March 2025. This marks a substantial rise from the previous year's figure of just under £9 million.

The company's turnover also saw a dramatic increase, climbing to £167.2 million from £112.2 million in 2024. This financial success underscores the lucrative nature of top-tier boxing promotion in the current market.

Wembley Stadium and Riyadh Drive Revenue

A key driver of this financial performance was the hugely successful event between Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua. The bout, promoted by Queensberry, packed over 90,000 fans into Wembley Stadium, generating massive gate receipts and global interest.

The same 12-month accounting period also featured the high-profile Queensberry vs Matchroom 5v5 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This card, involving stars like Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder, is indicative of the sport's transformation with heavy investment from the Middle East, through initiatives like Riyadh Season.

Leadership and Future Fights

During the year, a total of £4.4 million was paid out to company directors. Founder Frank Warren, who resigned as a director in 2011 but remains involved with related companies, received £300,000 in ambassadorial fees, consistent with the prior year.

Looking ahead, a potential super-fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua had been lightly discussed. However, the feasibility of this bout is now uncertain following Joshua's serious car crash in Nigeria this week, which leaves his training future in doubt.

Beyond the ring, Queensberry is diversifying its event portfolio. Its new arm, Queensberry Event Management, has been hired by The Jockey Club to revitalise The Derby Festival at Epsom, showcasing the brand's expanding reach.
