A man in his 20s has sustained life-changing injuries following a shooting in Crystal Palace, with three armed suspects still on the loose after fleeing the scene in a car. The incident occurred on Monday evening, prompting a major emergency response and leaving the local community in shock.

Police were called to a flat on Hamlet Road in Crystal Palace at approximately 10pm on Monday, January 26, after reports of a shooting. According to the Metropolitan Police, a resident of the property, a man in his 20s, was assaulted and threatened by three men who produced a firearm.
Another man, also in his 20s, subsequently arrived at the flat and was shot by one of the attackers. The group then fled the scene in a vehicle, leaving both victims injured. The man who was shot suffered life-changing injuries, while the other victim's injuries were assessed as neither life-changing nor life-threatening.
Emergency Response and Medical Treatment
Emergency services raced to the residential street, with the London Ambulance Service receiving the call at 10.19pm. They dispatched multiple resources including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, and a trauma team from London's Air Ambulance.
The first paramedic arrived within approximately five minutes. One patient was treated at the scene before being transported to a major trauma centre for further medical attention. Both victims were taken to hospital following the violent attack.
