Emmerdale: Serena linked to dead killer John Sugden

Emmerdale has finally confirmed that mysterious newcomer Serena (Casey Al-Shaqsy) is linked to the late John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), the murderous brother of Robert Sugden. John was killed by his sister Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) during a struggle in the woods after he attempted to murder her. However, the police believe John took his own life, and Victoria fled the village fearing she would be caught as a killer.

Serena's unsettling arrival

Serena first appeared in the village in a peculiar manner, accosting a distressed Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) as she stood at the edge of a lake battling her mental health. Serena emerged from the bushes as a kindly stranger and offered Charity a shoulder to cry on, which she accepted. But her motives remain unclear, and her connection to the Sugden family raises suspicions.

Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) has also sensed something off about Serena, getting negative vibes when Serena mentioned she knows all about Robert Sugden's dead brother John. Sarah, however, offered Serena a place to stay after learning she was living in her car.
