Peaky Blinders Underworld, a live immersive experience based on the award-winning Steven Knight crime drama, will open near London Bridge this August, ahead of the spin-off TV series. The experience transports fans to the shadowy underworld of the Peaky Blinders gang through gameplay, live entertainment, and actor-led encounters.
Location and Setting
Located within historic railway arches close to London Bridge Station, the experience begins at The Garrison Tavern, a faithfully recreated post-Second World War pub. Behind the tavern, guests can explore themed environments from the series, including Garrison Lane, the bookies, Chinatown, and the Small Heath fairground, each offering distinctive gameplay and hands-on challenges.
Creator's Vision
Steven Knight, creator of the series, said: “Peaky Blinders Underworld is not just a recreation of the Shelby family’s world but a much wider destination. This venue gives fans the opportunity to socially engage with their beloved series through a completely new prism, while those less familiar with the show will find plenty to love about it too.”
Beyond the Main Experience
The Garrison Tavern will also host a dedicated events space with special late-night performances, live music, and themed events, bringing the illicit world to life after dark.
Series Background
Peaky Blinders launched in 2013 and ran for six series until 2022, starring Cillian Murphy as the ruthless Tommy Shelby. A feature-length film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, was released earlier this year, with Murphy reprising his role alongside Barry Keoghan as Duke. The BBC has announced a spin-off series set a decade after the film, following Shelby’s family in 1950s Birmingham. The spin-off stars Jamie Bell and Charlie Heaton as Duke and Charles Shelby, and is commissioned for two series of six hour-long episodes, premiering on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK, and on Netflix globally.
